STEM Summer Assignment

Since you will be working at a day camp for the summer and have a vacation near the end, I assign you the following reading assignments. You can either read them electronically or print them out on paper. Read a few times, take notes on what you read and record the questions you have. You will present to the class about what you learn when you come back next semester. Don't worry if you don't understand all the materials. The purpose is to give you an overview of this technology.
  1. Emotiv Experimenter: An experimentation and mind-readingApplication for the Emotiv EPOC (2011), Michael Adelson.
  2. Non-Invasive BCI through EEG (2010), Daniel J. Szafir.
  3. Using a Low-cost EEG Sensor to Detect Mental States (2012), Bao Hong Tan.

If you have extra time, feel free to get some exposure of programming. Learning Swift, Python, or any other languages. Email me if you have any questions.

Have a great summer!!!
